In the San Sebastian Distrit from the Cusco City, on January 20th, each year the people make the more big festivity of the Cusco region, its celebrated in honor of the Patron San Sebastián and for the creation of the District (on January 2nd, 1857 ). Many people and tourists from all sides of the region and the country, come here to enjoy with the dances, music and participate in the cultural and religious ceremonies, this holiday was declared a Cultural Patrimony of the Nation by the National Institute of Culture(INC).
Historical Note: The Patron Saint of San Sebastián was carried to the south of Cusco few years of the Spaniards arrivals to Peru, Becoming in the pattern of the Inca people of that time.
